On Saturday, June 13th, we traveled by bus to Olomouc, where we were scheduled to visit the Archbishop's Seminary. Upon arrival, we celebrated Mass, which was officiated by Father Lukas Jambor, rector of the Olomouc seminary.
After the service, Father Jambor gave us a tour of the seminary and introduced us to its history and current operations. During the tour, we visited the Chapel of St. John Sarkander, the Chapel of St. Alexis, and the Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius. We also saw the facilities that are now used by seminarians for study and daily life. We also visited common areas where students gather for meals and relaxation, and we were able to admire the beautiful views of the surrounding area.
After the tour, we took a group photo and then went to lunch. In the afternoon, everyone used their time according to their own interests. Many visited one of Olomouc's cafes or explored some of the city's landmarks, including St. Maurice Church, the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, and St. Wenceslas Cathedral.
The entire day was a pleasant opportunity not only to get to know the seminary environment but also to spend time in the beautiful historic city of Olomouc. We thank everyone who prepared and organized this event, as well as Father Lukas Jambor for his warm welcome and interesting tour of the seminary.
